Honda Rebel 500: Price

The Honda Rebel 500 has been launched in the Indian markets at a starting price of Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom). As per the details shared by the company, the motorcycle has been offered only in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic colour scheme. This means bike enthusiasts will have only the options in the shades to choose from.

Honda Rebel 500: Specifications

Starting with the most important part, the engine! It uses a 471 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates a maximum power of 45.59 BHP at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque output of 43.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The unit is mated to the rear wheel using a 6-speed gearbox that uses a chain drive, making the bike particularly suitable for urban commuting and effortless highway cruising.

The Rebel 500 comes with a split seating arrangement and has a seat height of 690 mm for utmost comfort. The suspension setup has been managed with a telescopic front fork at the front, while the rear section is equipped with dual shock absorbers.

The braking unit features a single 296 mm front disc for the former, while the latter has a 240 mm disc, along with standard dual-channel ABS. The wheels are fitted with Dunlop tyres, measuring 150/80-16 at the rear and 130/90-16 at the front.

Talking about the design, the Honda Rebel includes a pure classic cruiser road presence, featuring wide handlebars and a high-mounted fuel tank. The company has treated the vehicle with a comprehensive LED lighting system, paired with round-shaped headlights at both ends. The dashboard is enhanced with an inverted LCD, offering essential riding information such as gear position, speed, and fuel level.

It is worth noting that the Honda Rebel 500 will be competing against other bikes like the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Kawasaki’s Vulcan S, and Eliminator 500 in the Indian market.
